SOC Analyst

My Story

I started learning web development in November 2024 for HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React. However, in early 2025 my brother had his banking credentials stolen in a phishing campaign, and summarily had every penny in his bank account stolen. At that time, a friend of mine was encouraging me to seek a role within the cybersecurity industry. Although I had no previous experience in cybersecurity, I decided to take the leap toward a practice that could meaningfully protect people in the very "wild west" kind of space that is the internet.

I earned my Blue Team Level 1 certification in March 2026 and hit the ground running at a SOC Analyst role at Secnap Network Security. I respond to alerts and incidents across endpoint, identity, and cloud platforms. LimaCharlie is my primary EDR. I investigate suspicious activity, contain threats, and shut adversaries down.

Now I'm building toward threat hunting, using Jupyter notebooks, Python, and Pandas to dig into data and find threats that haven't triggered alerts yet.

What I Bring

I am direct, learn fast, and I don't shy away from hard problems. I am always seeking ways to step out of my comfort zone, and compound my knowledge and experience in order to effectively eliminate threats new and old. I take pride in both hard work, and in being a hard worker, and am quick and efficient in all of my operations.
